This morning, my blogger subscription emails indicated that one of my favourite bloggers also had the belief that heels with ankle straps have always had the unflattering stigma.

I have steered clear of this style shoes for more years than I can remember!

Inherently, they were an absolute faux pas in my mind...until trés recently.

I even received some in the mail today that I had purchased only a few days ago...it was with much reluctance but I just couldn't resist a pair of Manolos!
